Amandeep Johl had another impressive round on Friday as he carded three-under 69 to stay in the title hunt on day two of the 200,000 dollar Crown Plaza Open, in Sanya, China, which saw five Indians making the cut.

At an aggregate of eight-under 136, Amandeep is at fifth place, five shots behind the leader, Taiwan's Lin Wen-tang.

Johl was delighted to remain in the title mix although his recent swing change has yet to click. He shot five birdies against two dropped shots.

"I'm just happy. I made a few mistakes. Sometimes the swing works, sometimes it doesn't. I am keeping my head on the shoulder, which is the key. It's just a matter of trusting,'' he said later.

Compatriot, Gaurav Ghei was the pick of the pack and sizzled with five under 67 to share the ninth spot with, among others, Harmeet Kahlon.

Harmeet fired a three-under 69 to aggregate six under 138 after two rounds.

Rahil Gangjee, meanwhile, had yet another one-under 70 card for his tied 23rd while Digvijay Singh struggled to find his putting touch and had a poor score of two over 74 for his tied 34th position.

Amritender Singh and Uttam Singh Mundy flattered to deceive yet again and fell by the wayside.
