Amandeep Johl shot a one-over 71, and at three-under 137 slipped six positions to tied-eighth spot after the mid-way stage of the US $700,000 Omega Hong Kong Open, being played at the par-70 Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling.
The tournament is a joint-sanctioned event on the Asian and European PGA Tours and the season starting event on the European Tour's 2004 season.
England's Richard McEvoy continued in the lead at ten-under 130, with Fredrik Jacobson placed second three strokes behind the leader.
Among the Indians participating in this tournament, Hero Honda Masters 2002 winner, Harmeet Kahlon slid down from his overnight tied-12th position to tied-31st, where he is placed along with another Indian, Arjun Singh, at level-par 140.
With the cut applied at two-over 142, Vijay Kumar is the only Indian to miss the bus.
Vijay finished at tied-101st place at six-over 146.
Sri Lanka's Anura Rohana, at four-over 144, also missed the cut.
Amandep Johl's round stared in the worst possible fashion with a double bogey. The bearded Chandigarh pro recovered lost ground with a birdie on the fourth but lost the advantage immediately after with a bogey on the fifth.
On his back-nine, Johl had birdies on the 12th, 16th and 17th with two more bogeys on the 13th and 15th.
"It was just one of those days," said Johl, currently ranked 14th on the Asian PGA Tour's Order of Merit.
Meanwhile, Kahlon's round, much like Johl's, contained a double bogey, his coming on the 14th.
Kahlon carded birdies on the sixth, tenth and 12th, but dropped shots on the ninth, 15th and 18th for a card of 72. Arjun Singh, who shot a one-over 71 had three bogeys in his front-nine on the third, fourth and seventh but salvaged the situation with birdies on the 12th and 14th.
The leader, McEvoy, shot a 68 today, with birdies on the fourth, eighth, 12th and 14th and bogeys on the seventh and 13th.
