British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has caused an online stir after posting photos of him skiing with his brother just days after Michael Schumacher's shocking accident in the Alps.

Hamilton enraged Instagram users by posting his Christmas snaps of himself on the snow.

According to the Daily Star, he also uploaded a video of him on a snowmobile and his brother on a ski chair tearing down the slopes.

However, the photo posts by the 28-year-old were met with a number of abuses.

One Instagarm user said that the posts by Hamilton were very insensitive given that Schumacher’s current condition in hospital.

Another said that it was inconsiderate, overrated d***, ''you''ll never be a great like Schumacher''.

Others slammed the 2008 F1 champion for the timing of his post but other wished him well out in the snow. Schumacher is in a ''stable condition'' in a coma after hitting his head on a rock in Sunday's disaster.
