'Critical but stable' Bianchi continues to fight in hospital, says family

About four weeks after he suffered severe head injuries during a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix, Jules Bianchi remains "critical but stable" in hospital, a report said.

Jules Bianchi of France and MarussiaA statement released by his family said that the 25-year-old Marussia driver "continues to fight," reported the BBC.

The Frenchman suffered a diffuse axonal injury when he rammed into a recovery vehicle at Suzuka on October 5 in wet conditions.

Bianchi underwent a surgery at the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaichi and is still receiving medical care.
