Punjab Police beat Allwyn Hindustan, Delhi, by a solitary second-half goal to pick full points from their Second Division National Football League match at the J R D Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.

Both the teams missed a couple of chances in the barren first-half.

Punjab Police scored soon after play began in the second-half, when striker Manjit Singh received a pass on the top of the box from a melee and did not not miss the opportunity to score after beating the onrushing goalkeeper (1-0) in the 49th minute.

Tempers ran high after the goal and two Punjab Police players and one from Allwyn Hindustan were shown yellow cards for rough play.
