A late goal by defender Biswajit Shah helped Sporting Clube de Goa edge past Royal Wahingdoh 2-1 in a come-from-behind win and keep their hopes alive for the knock out stage in the Group ‘A’ league match at Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa.

Defender Biswajit Saha scored the winner in the 89th minute which earned him the man of the match award.

The first-half was a drab encounter with neither teams showing urgency in their attack.

Royal Wahingdoh, who needed a win to stay in contention for a semi-finals berth, broke the dead lock in the 28th minute when Jackichand Singh headed in.
