Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that it hurts to see Leicester City winning this year's Premier League title.

He, however, said it was a well-deserved victory for the Foxes.

Leicester clinched their first league title in the club's 132-year history following second-placed Tottenham's 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

"It does hurt to see Leicester win the title. If somebody is better than you, then you have to accept it and Leicester were better than everyone else," Wenger was quoted as saying by goal.com.

Reflecting on their downfall, the Frenchman admitted his side failed to score enough goals at home and, therefore, dropped too many points against teams that played deep.

"Our defensive record is strange because we had 15 clean sheets, which is good -- but when we conceded, we really conceded," he added.

Meanwhile, Wenger has called on his team to be more ruthless and defensive if they have to pose any challenge in the next season.

With just two games left, Arsenal are currently standing at the third spot in the league table.

They will play their next match Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
