Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has joined Wolves on a season-long loan, the Premier League club confirmed on Twitter.

The 19-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford, made his United debut last November and played in 14 first-team games under previous manager Louis van Gaal.

Earlier this summer he signed a new contract at United but he is not part of new manager Jose Mourinho's first-team plans.

Wolves have also signed Dutch winger Ola John on loan from Benfica.

Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett joined Championship club Reading on Monday, signing a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old England under-21 spent last season on loan at Celtic, where he won a Scottish League winner's medal.

Reading manager Jaap Stam, formerly a defender with United, said Blackett's versatility was a key factor in the move.

"He can play as a left-back or a left-sided centre-back; he has got great potential in the sense that he is quick and athletic, defensively he is strong and he is good at set pieces," Stam told Reading's website (www.readingfc.co.uk).

"As a defender he can go and play high up the pitch as well, and that is what we need in the squad."

West Ham defender Reece Burke signed a new four-year contract on Monday, tying him to the Premier League club until 2020.

The 19-year-old centre back spent last season on loan at BradfordCity but is hoping to play in Thursday's Europa League play-off round, second-leg match against Romania's FC Astra, having played in the away leg earlier this month.

"I'm hoping to be involved and if Slaven (Bilic, the manager) asks me to do a job anywhere on the pitch I'll definitely be up for it," Burke told West Ham's website (www.whufc.com).

"The club has a few centre-halves this season so there's a lot of competition there. If he asks me, I'm just going to say 'Yes'."
