World No 1 Novak Djokovic can’t seem to stay away from the tennis court. Even with the lockdown imposed in Spain, the Serbian was seen practicing on a clay court with an unknown hitting partner, at a tennis club in the coastal city of Marbella, where the Serb is reportedly staying.
He put up a video on Instagram of him practicing and hitting shots with a phone camera in hand and captioned the clip: “So happy to play on clay … well, just for a bit with my phone in the hands. I don’t recommend this to anyone 18- years old.”
On Monday, Spain eased the lockdown rules that were in effect since mid-March because of the Coronavirus pandemic. But sports facilities are supposed to remain closed at least until next week in most parts of the country.
It was not clear if the reigning Australian Open champ would be subjected to fines if he was breaking lockdown rules.
Later on Monday, Djokovic announced that he will be doing a Instagram live session with recently retired former World No 1 Maria Sharapova on Tuesday. It's something tennis fans would be looking forward to.
