India's gold rush at the shooting range continued, with two more gold medals coming the team's way.

Samaresh Jung had a hand in both. First he partnered Vivek Singh to win the gold in the men's 10m Air Pistol Pairs and later in afternoon paired with Ronak Pandit, son of former Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Ashok Pandit, to add the men's 25m Standard Pistol Pairs gold to his kitty.

India now has five gold and a silver from shooting. Of those medals, Jung has two gold and one silver.

Adding to the golden haul was teenage weightlifter, 19-year-old Renubala Yumnam Chanu, who won the women's gold comfortably in the 58 kg category.

Her gold medal-winning performance boosted India's gold tally from weightlifting to two gold and a silver. Chanu was the only lifter successful with all her six lifts.

Late in the evening, men's lifter Sudhir Kumar Chitradurga grabbed a bronze medal in men's 69 kg category.

India's tally from weightlifting is now two gold, two silver and a bronze.
