Former Newcastle United striker Faustino Asprilla is entering the world of business by designing and selling fruit-flavoured condoms in his native Colombia.
Asprilla said he was negotiating with a Chinese factory to make the condoms that will come in a range of sizes and flavours.
The former fan favourite, who retired in 2004, recommended guava flavour, because it reminded him of the guava tree at the house where he grew up.
"It's a good idea, and it is cool to contribute to safe sex campaigns," he told Colombia's El Tiempo newspaper. "I hope people like them, buy them and have fun with them."
Suarez included in Uruguay squad for friendlies
Luis Suarez has been included in a provisional Uruguay squad for next month's friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Oman, the Uruguay Football Association (AUF) said on Thursday.
The controversial Barcelona forward has been banned for four months, plus nine competitive internationals, for the infamous World Cup incident where he bit Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
He can play in friendlies, however, after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) removed a clause which banned him from "any football activity" during his four-month suspension.
After being left out of this month's friendlies against Japan and South Korea, Suarez has been included by coach Oscar Tabarez in a 29-man squad for the games away to Saudi Arabia on Oct 10 and Oman three days later.
Lazio slump to third defeat in four matches
Lazio slumped to their third defeat in four Serie A matches when they lost 1-0 at home to Udinese in a scrappy, unattractive game on Thursday. Cyril Thereau scored the only goal in the 26th minute when he got in between two Lazio defenders to fire in from Silvan Widmer's cross.
Lazio, where Stefano Pioli took charge during the close season to become their third coach in a year, dominated possession in the second half but were short of ideas and were booed off the pitch by the Stadio Olimpico crowd.
In contrast to Lazio, surprise package Udinese went third in the table with nine points, three behind leading pair Juventus and AS Roma.
Roma, Monaco, Inter, Liverpool probed over financial fair play
AS Roma, Monaco, Inter Milan and Liverpool are among seven clubs who are being investigated for possible breaches of financial fair play regulations, European soccer's governing body UEFA said on Thursday.
Besiktas, FC Krasnodar and Sporting Lisbon are also being investigated over possible breaches of the rules designed to stop clubs spending more than they earn through generated revenue, UEFA said.
UEFA said the clubs had "disclosed a break-even deficit on the basis of their financial reporting periods ending in 2012 and 2013.
"These clubs will need to submit additional monitoring information during October and November upon the deadlines set out by the Club Financial Control Board (CFCB), subsequent to which an additional communication shall be made and conservatory measures may be imposed," said UEFA.
UEFA said a total of 115 clubs involved in European competition this year would be monitored throughout the season and have been requested to submit additional information, including their overdue payables situation.
In addition, five clubs involved in European club competition this season have had prize money withheld because of “important overdue payables towards other clubs, employees and/or social/tax authorities on June 30,” UEFA added.
The clubs are Bursaspor (Turkey), Cluj (Romania), Astra Giurgiu (Romania), Buducnost Podgorica (Montenegro) and Ekranas (Lithuania), UEFA said.
"Such decisions are not final but of a provisional nature," UEFA said, adding they would remain in force until further checks had been completed in December.
