India's Davis Cupper and top-ranked men's player Rohan Bopanna's failed to clear the last hurdle as he lost in the singles and doubles finals of the USD 25,000 ATP Challenger in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Top seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia and Montenegro beat the 26-year-old from Coorg 6-2, 6-4 in the singles final on Saturday.

Earlier, Bopanna and Aisam Qureshi of Pakistan were edged out 6-2, 3-6, 8-10 in the doubles final by French duo Nicolas Revanand and Nicolas Tourte.

Bopanna, who had to qualify for the event, reached his first singles final of the year with an easy 6-1, 6-2 win over Russia's Mikhail Ledovskikh in the semi-final.

The only other Indian in the tournament, eighth seed Karan Rastogi, suffered first round exits in the singles as well as doubles.
