Barcelona Open: Bopanna-Rojer knocked out by unseeded duo

India's Rohan Bopanna and Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands were knocked out of the Barcelona Open after a straight sets defeat in the quarter-finals of the men's doubles on Thursday.

The fourth-seeded pair was beaten by the unseeded duo of Treat Huey and Max Mirnyi 6-7(5-7), 4-6 in 71 minutes.

Huey-Mirnyi will meet the Bryan Brothers in the semi-finals.

Spanish maestro Rafael Nadal will face 12th seed Italian Fabio Fognini in the the men's singles quarter-finals later on Friday.
