Barcelona forward David Villa has returned to hospital after failing to recover from kidney stones and is out of Saturday's league game at Granada, the La Liga leaders said on Thursday.

David VillaThe 31-year-old Spain international, who was first admitted on Monday and released a day later, was still in pain and would undergo more tests, Barca said in a statement on their website (www.fcbarcelona.es).

"The player is unavailable for the Granada game," they added.
