Turkmenistan's freestyle wrestler Nazarov Rustem has become the first athlete at the Asian Games in Jakarta to fail a doping test, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) said on Friday.

Rustem, who was eliminated in the pre-quarterfinals of the 57kg class, had his results annulled after failing a pre-competition test on Aug. 17, it said.

"His urine sample showed the presence of furosemide, which is a prohibited substance under ... the WADA prohibited List 2018," the OCA, which governs the Games, said.

At the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, a total of five athletes tested positive for banned substances and were sent home.

South Korea's Park Tae-hwan was later stripped of his swimming medals for failing a pre-Games test.

Korea claims swimmer kicked by Chinese athlete during training

South Korea's Olympic committee has said swimmer Kim Hye-jin was kicked by a Chinese swimmer during training at the Asian Games in Jakarta on Thursday.

The Korean Olympic and Sport Committee (KSOC) confirmed on Friday that Kim had accidentally hit the Chinese swimmer in the face while they were in the pool training.

The Chinese swimmer, whose identity was not revealed, could not understand Kim's apology and later kicked her at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Center, the KSOC said, prompting coaches from both sides to step in and separate them.

The Chinese officials apologised at the scene and later at the athletes village, it added.

China have won 16 of the 35 swimming gold medals claimed in Jakarta so far, while South Korea have yet to win their first.
