Vikas Krishan added to India's gold medals rush on Thursday when he beat China's Qing Hu in the final of the men's 60-kg boxing event at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.
Krishan, 18, won a thrilling contest 5-4 in a close finish.
This was India's third gold medal of the day following victories by Ashwini Chidananda and Joseph Abraham in the 400 metres hurdles -- taking their tally to 10 gold medals at the Asian Games.
India could hope to win gold medals in boxing with Vijender Singh (75kg), Dinesh Kumar (81kg), Santosh Kumar (64kg) and Manpreet Singh (91kg) also making it to the finals.
However, Commonwealth Games gold medallists Suranjoy Singh (51kg) and Paramjeet Samota (+91kg) had to be content with bronze medals after losing in the semifinals.
