Indian ace Pankaj Advani started his Asian Snooker Championship campaign with a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia's Sulaiman Almisfer in Doha on Saturday.
In his first match, Pankaj beat Almisfer in straight frames 82-26, 81-06, 76-23, 70-15 with breaks of 67 and 69 in the second and fourth frame respectively.
"It was great to have this campaign started, there is a rhythm that is found on commencing with a tournament and I am delighted to have got off to a winning start. I am focused on working towards a similar score-line for all my group matches," Advani said.
Advani will play his second match in the group stages on Sunday.
