A horrific collision during a Twenty20 match left two Surrey fielders injured. The two players ran for a catch and collided, resulting in both being taken to hospital.
Australian Moises Henriques was left with his jaw broken in three places while Englishman Rory Burns, the other player involved, suffered head and facial injuries.
But this wasn't the first time we had an accident this serious.

In September 1999, Steve Waugh and his teammates headed to the subcontinent for a Test series against Sri Lanka.

The series, however, began on an unfortunate note for the Aussies, as Steve Waugh, the then captain, fractured his nose in a freak fielding accident with fast bowler Jason Gillespie during the first Test in Kandy.
An infamous incident for Australian cricket and somewhat similar to the Henriques injury.
The bump resulted in both players being taken to hospital, with Waugh suffering a broken nose and Gillespie a fractured leg.
Gillespie was ruled out of the remainder of the tour.
Sri Lanka won that Test even as Waugh soldiered on in that series with a broken nose.
For the record, Australia went on to lose the series.
Peter Biaksangzuala (Indian footballer)
A 23-year-old Indian footballer died from severe spinal cord damage after attempting to celebrate a goal with a somersault, on October 14, 2014.
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC midfielder Peter Biaksangzuala died at a hospital five days after he landed on his head and broke his neck. He was playing in the third tier Mizoram Premier League (MPL).
After scoring the equaliser against Chanmari West FC, a flipping Biaksangzuala landed awkwardly and lay unconscious as his team mates surrounded him and gestured for help.
Klara Koukalova and Monica Niculescu (Tennis)
Doubles tennis is a mixed bag of volleys, lobs and perfect coordination between teammates.
In 2014, during a Wimbledon women’s doubles match, it was difficult to understand how Czech player Klara Koukalova could launch a powerful serve, at 100 mph, straight into the back of her partner Monica Niculescu's head.
The pair was taking on 16th seeds Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro.
The Romanian had to sit down to recover from the blow.
To make matters worse, the pair lost the match 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
Lindsey Vonn (Olympic champion skier)
Celebrating victory with champagne can be pretty tricky.
In 2009, Olympic medalist and World champion Lindsey Vonn, learned it the hard way.
Vonn sliced a tendon in her right thumb with a broken champagne bottle while celebrating a downhill victory at the World Championships.
The injury required surgery.
Paulo Diogo (Swiss-Portuguese Footballer)
In 2004, Swiss-Portuguese soccer player Paolo Diogo assisted on a Servette FC goal and celebrated it by jumping up onto the fence surrounding the pitch to embrace the fans.
His wedding ring caught on the chains and ripped his finger off, ruining the celebration.
Doctors were not able to reattach it and you can bet, he received a yellow card for excessive time-wasting!
