Raymond Domenech will remain the France coach until 2010, French Football Federation (FFF) president Jean-Pierre Escalettes said on Wednesday.
"Raymond Domenech will remain in charge until 2010 under the terms of his contract," Escalettes told a news conference.
Domenech was told in July he would stay in charge if he got results after France's group stage elimination from Euro 2008.
The 56-year-old, who has had a difficult relationship with some of his players and the media, appeared in danger of being sacked a few days ago.
But since then France have fought back from two goals down for a 2-2 draw in Romania in a 2010 World Cup qualifier on Saturday before convincingly beating Tunisia 3-1 in a friendly at Stade de France on Tuesday
