Bharadwaj, who won his first international medal, did not let the lack of competition deter him.
"A win is a win. I am happy about it. It's not my duty to see the number of participants in the Games. My duty was to perform and I think I have done that", he said after the match.
"Though I am not happy with my scores, I will try to improve it in future. This is my step forward towards the 2010 Commonwealth Games", said Bharadwaj, who finished with 509 points.
