Czech Republic dropped their all-time leading scorer Jan Koller and he was replaced in attack by Milan Baros while creative midfielder Marek Matejovsky came in for David Jarolim.
Vaclav Sverkos, who came on as a second-half substitute to score against Switzerland in the tournament opener in Basel, started on the bench again.
