Indian Davis Cupper Rohan Bopanna made an early exit from the euro 42,500 ATP Challenger series tournament, for the Surbiton Trophy, in Great Britain, losing his singles second round tie to higher-ranked Arnaud Clement of France.
Bopanna, placed 225 rungs below his French opponent in the ATP charts at 310th, lost 2-6, 5-7 and crashed out of the tournament, on Thursday.
Bopanna's campaign in the doubles event ended without playing a match when he and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi withdrew in the first round.
The Indo-Pak pair was given top billing and up against wild card entrants Neil Bamford and Goodall Joshua of Great Britain.
