Indian Davis Cupper Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the USD 75,000 ATP Challenger tournament in Aptos, United States after losing the quarterfinal tie against Andrea Stoppini.

After going down in the first set, Stoppini of Italy staged a remarkable comeback to beat the Indian 6-7 (2), 7-5, 6-4 in the quarterfinal match.

The defeat brought curtains on Amritraj's campaign in the tournament, having lost the doubles quarters with American Lestor Cook.

Meanwhile, Harsh Mankad and Ashutosh Singh dumped second seeded pair of Joshua Goodall and Michael Ryderstedt to storm into the final of the Euro 30,000 ATP Challenger tournament in Manchester.

The fourth seeded Indian pair shrugged off the first set loss to post a 5-7, 7-6 (2), 10-4 semifinal win against the British-Sweden duo.

They will now take on Australian top seeds Adam Feeney and Robert Smeets, who beat British third seed Richard Bloomfield and Ken Skupski 6-4, 6-4 in the other semifinal.
