Wimbledon 2008
July 2, 2008
Britain's Andy Murray returns the ball to his Spanish opponent Rafael Nadal during their quarter-final on Wednesday.
The 12th-seeded Briton, who succeeded in simultaneously beefing himself and the crowd up for a remarkable comeback against Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the last eight, taking a third-set tiebreak and going on to win 5-7, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 in fading light, failed to maintain momentum against Nadal.

Their first meeting in the fourth round of the Australian Open a year and a half ago was the closest, with Nadal winning 6-7, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
The Spaniard has not allowed Murray a set since then in three meetings and Wednesday was no different.
The Spaniard now holds a perfect 4-0 career record against the Briton.
