The Indian leg of the relay was 2.3 kms in distance from the Rashtrapati Bhawan to India Gate and in that period it changed as many as 68 hands that included sportspersons, politicians and filmstars.
Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi lighted the cauldron at the India Gate.
