Andy Roddick, seeded sixth, toppled world No 1 Roger Federer in three sets to reach the semi-finals of the ATP Masters Series, in Key Biscayne, Miami, on Thursday.
The American beat the top-seeded Swiss 7-6 (7/4), 4-6, 6-3, leaving Federer still in search of his first title of 2008.
He recorded 17 aces to post victory in 1 hour 55 minutes. It is only his second victory over Federer in 17
tries.
