Russia's Maria Kirilenko stunned second seeded Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia in a thrilling three-setter to romp into the final of the US $175,000 WTA Sunfeast Open in Kolkata on Saturday.
The fourth seeded Kirilenko dropped the first set 4-6, but played some scintillating tennis thereafter to take the next two 6-2, 6-1 on way to her maiden victory over the world No 11.
The Slovak had registered victories on each of the three occasions when they clashed at Tokyo and San Diego (both in 2005) and at Dubai earlier this year.
World number 35 Kirilenko will be up against Mariya Korrytseva in Sunday's title clash.
World number 164 Korrytseva annihilated higher-ranked Briton Anne Keothavong 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in 106 minutes to reach her maiden tour final.
