A man pleaded guilty in a London court on Wednesday to attacking Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United football club.
Kevin Reynolds, 43, said he had assaulted Ferguson at London's Euston railway station on Monday, causing minor injuries to his leg. He also admitted to head-butting a community police officer who was trying to restrain him.
The magistrate described Reynolds as a violent drunk. Reynolds pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm, assault and two public order offences.
He remained in custody and will be sentenced later.
