Nanavare, Asif Ali ride to glory

June 18, 2007

The Castrol Power1 Throttle Max challenge, now in its second year, is a test of skill and control. Riders were tested over three different courses - an open straight stretch on dirt track, obstacle-laden course and a wiggle-woggle section. Four winners from each city - two from the 125 cc category and two from the 126-250 cc category qualified for the national finals.

Elated at his victory, Syed Asif, winner of the 250 cc category said, "This is a moment of great pride and joy for me to win the title of India's most skillful rider. Going to the world's best motorbiking race, the Moto GP is what fuelled my inspiration to practice hard and chisel my riding skills to perfection. This is a dream come true for every biker and I would like to thank Castrol for giving me this opportunity to showcase my skills and to go to the Moto GP. I am really excited"!
