Leander Paes and Martin Damm bowled out of the Gerry Weber Open, losing in the semi-finals, in Halle, Germany, on Saturday.
The Indo-Czech pair lost 3-6, 6-2, 6-10 to Sweden's Simon Aspelin and Julian Knowle of Austria.
Paes and Damm suffered two breaks of serve -- Paes being broken in he first and ninth games -- and lost the first set quite tamely.
But they fought back in the second and broke back twice. Aspelin's serve was broken in the fifth game and Knowle's in the seventh before Paes held to clinch the set 6-2.
With the crowd behind them it looked as if Paes and Damm would carry their fightback to the super tie-breaker, but unforced errors proved their undoing and they went down 6-10.
Aspelin and Knowle will meet France's Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia, who beat Robert Lindstedt of Sweden, and Finland's Jarkko Nieminen 6-3, 6-4 in the other semi-final.
