At least on the road the vendors keep you entertained. There are free binoculars to be won with a copy of a daily newspaper; there's free juice and water waiting if you grow thirsty.
An unimaginative company is also trying to sell sun-block on the cloudy summer's day. But the girls hired to market the cream are smart and use their time to chatter about than pester people with the untimely product.
