Melbourne's Alicia Molik is through to the third round despite a woeful start against Kaia Kanepi of Estonia.
Molik appeared to be completely out of sorts for the first half hour of the match, but got her thoughts and her game together to win 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
For the Australian, the win was another step on her recovery from an illness that kept her out of the game for much of last year.
Molik, who survived a shaky start, says it took her the first set to warm up properly.
"I had a lot of opportunities... (but) I felt like I really let her run away with that set," Molik said after the match.
"I knew I would improve," she said.
