Sania, who entered the second round of the Australian Open for the third successive year, will face either Japan's Aiko Nakamura or Eleni Daniilidou of Greece.
The 20-year-old climbed 13 places to 53rd in the rankings following an impressive showing at the Moorilla Open International tournament in Hobart last week, where she made the semi-finals.
