Mahesh Bhupathi and Pavel Vizner, teaming up for the first time, completed a giant-killing run in Montreal by winning the Rogers Cup on Sunday.

The Indo-Czech duo cruised to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over fifth seeds Paul Hanley of Australia and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe in the doubles final.

Bhupathi and Vizner had ousted fourth seeds Leander Paes and Martin Damm in the quarter-finals before scalping their biggest victims -- Mike and Bob Bryan-- in the semi-finals.

They saved two consecutive match points against the Bryans at in the match tie-break to beat the American twins 6-2, 4-6, 12-10.

After winning the first set of the final 6-4 in 38 minutes, Bhupathi and Vizner were gifted the break in the second-set when Ullyett served a double fault in the third game. The teams went on serve from there, as Bhupathi-Vizner closed it at 6-4.

This was Bhupathi's first title of the season. The Indian doubles specialist, who has won 10 Grand Slams, has not had a regular partner for two years. He decided to team up with Vizner after Radek Stepanek pulled out of the team to concentrate on his singles.
