World No 8 Mario Ancic seems to have struck the right chemistry with Indian ace Mahesh Bhupathi on the court as well as off it in their very first association.

The Croatian, who won the US $475,000 China Open with Bhupathi last week, said he would like to partner the Indian even after the Mumbai Open, which begins on Monday.

"It was unbelievably good winning the doubles with Mahesh. We are playing in the Mumbai Open. After that I hope to continue as well. Teaming up with Mahesh is interesting," said Ancic, who was in Delhi on Wednesday for a kids' clinic at the DLTA court.

Ancic, who missed the US Open because of a knee injury suffered while jet-skiing, said being a top-10 player he wants to concentrate on singles, but doubles is also important for his game.

"I will be playing more singles. But doubles is very important for my game of serve and volley, so I will play as many doubles also," the 22-year old said.

"His (Bhupathi's) involvement is also one of the reasons I am in India. So as a player and as an organiser he is good to be with," he added.

Ancic also reached the final of the singles in Beijing.

"Playing singles after 2-1/2 months after injury was very good. I was working hard for 10 weeks. I came to the final beating many good guys. I am ready to continue," said Ancic, who was the youngest player ever when he broke into top-100 in the ATP Tour rankings with his famous victory over Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2002.
