Brazil striker Ronaldo and former England captain David Beckham are injured and have been left out of Real Madrid's squad for Tuesday's Champions League match at home to Olympique Lyon.
Ronaldo strained the lateral ligament in his left knee in a King's Cup match against third division Ecija 11 days ago while Beckham has not trained with the team for the past week because of an inflamed left knee.
Midfielder Guti and Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro, who will be named European Footballer of the Year at the start of next week, were both included in the squad despite picking up minor injury niggles during Saturday's 3-1 win over Racing Santander.
Real will need to beat Lyon by more than two goals if they are to wrest top of the group from the French champions.
Lyon, who beat Real 2-0 at home in their opening group match, have won all four of their games and have yet to concede a goal.
