2006 French Open

Shock as well as happiness swept Japan's Akiko Morigami after she claimed the biggest win of her career at the French Open on Tuesday.

The 69th-ranked baseliner ousted third seed Nadia Petrova 6-2, 6-2 to reach the second round.

"I was just kind of shocked that I beat Nadia because I played against her three or four times and I (had only) won once, but by retirement," she said.

"(That) was not really my win... Today was like, I actually beat her. I was just really shocked and I was really happy. I really could not think about anything else. I know maybe Nadia was a little bit injured, but I tried to focus on my game. I think it worked pretty well."
