The England mid-fielder has been one of the most influential players, along with home-grown captain John Terry, in Chelsea's rise to the top last season.
Lampard was voted by the fans as England's Player of the Year for the second successive year in 2006.
Lampard was also second to Barcelona's playmaker Ronaldinho in the 2005 European and World Footballer of the Year awards.
