The new Maradona has bowled over the football world in his very first season with Barcelona.
"I have seen the player who will inherit my place in Argentine football and his name is Messi," proclaimed Diego Maradona, Argentina's 1986 World Cup-winning captain.
The Argentine teenage sensation's brave performance against Chelsea in the first-leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Stamford bridge was hailed as coming of age for the 18-year-old.
