Referees in the spotlight
Referee: Massimo Busacca
Country: Switzerland
Highlight match: Argentina-Mexico
'For Fifa and the World Cup, it is more important to see Argentina in the quarter-finals than countries like Mexico,' Mexican striker Jared Borgetti exclaimed after the Argentineans overcame his side 2:1 in Round Two.
Borgetti's ire was directed at Swiss referee Busacca.
When Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze tripped Mexico's Jose Fonseca in the first half of the tight match, Heinze got off with a yellow card.
The Central Americans were convinced he deserved a red card because Fonseca would have been free on goal, and FIFA rules say a foul on a player free on goal is a red card.

Borgetti also said Heinze should have been sent off again when the Argentinean used his forearm against him.
Borgetti refuses to believe it was accidental, as Busacca -- managing director of a company back home in Monte Carasso, he made his international refereeing debut just five years ago -- did.
