Switzerland's Martina Hingis was in command against Zuzana Ondraskova of the Czech Republic.
Hingis, who is back at the French Open for the first time since 2001, crushed Czech Zuzana Ondraskova 6-1, 6-3.
"It was a very solid performance. I almost felt sorry [for her]," the 12th seed said.
