Born in 1982, this Croatian who now resides in Tampa, United States, turned professional in 1997.
She is famous for her unique return of serve. She stands closer to the service line than the base line on the return, allowing her to take the ball very early. Her early timing also helps her generate power on her forehand as well as backhand. She became the fifth youngest player to win a title at 15.
Bhupathi and Lucic were a team three times. He first played with her at Wimbledon 1998, and lost in the final.
