Born in 1956 in Czechoslovakia, Navratilova is a former World No. 1 woman tennis player. She defected to America in 1975 and became a US citizen 6 years later.
During her career, she won an astonishing 18 Grand Slam singles titles and 40 Grand Slam doubles titles. She also won the women's singles title at Wimbledon a record 9 times.
