Chennai Open 2006

Rohan Bopanna and Prakash Amritraj saved four match-points to register an exciting victory over second seeds Alexander Waske-Rainer Schuettler and enter the final of the Chennai Open doubles at the SDAT tennis stadium on Saturday.

The Indians, who seemed to have lost momentum after the first set, came back strongly in the match tie-breaker to win 6-1, 3-6, 11-9.

The last time an Indian pair won the doubles title in Chennai was in 2002 when Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi came out of a split to beat Tomas Cibulec and Ota Fukarek.
