Sharapova will play Davenport in the semi-finals later on Friday, while Henin-Hardenne, who is returning after withdrawing from last month's Australian Open final because of stomach pain, takes on Kuznetsova.
"I needed to keep on attacking as it is difficult to keep rallying with her (Hingis)," said Sharapova, who had a total 16 forehand winners.
