Dubai Tennis Championships 2006
Maria Sharapova beat Martina Hingis in straight sets on Friday to advance to the semi-finals of the rain-hit $1-million Dubai Open Tennis Championships.
The third-seeded Russian, who lost to the Swiss star in the semi-finals at Tokyo earlier this month, won 6-3, 6-4 in a match delayed a day by heavy rain.
