Davis Cup
Marat Safin (in the picture) beat Richard Gasquet 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-1 on Friday and Russia took a 2-0 lead over France in their Davis Cup quarterfinal.
Safin served 33 aces in the win, which took 3 hours, 40 minutes. Gasquet took a 4-3 lead in the first set tiebreaker but couldn't hold on.
