Jyoti Randhawa failed to make any upward movement in the final round as his five-over 75 saw him finish 51st with a total of nine-over 289 at the American Express Championship at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco.
The former Asian Tour No. 1 earned USD 40,500, which will be sufficient enough to lock up his card on the European Tour for the 2006 season.
Tiger Woods won the title after a play-off victory over John Daly. It was Woods' 10th individual victory from 19 appearances in the WGC. Woods shot a three-under 67 on the final day and was tied with Daly at 10-under 270.
The long driving Daly was in the end let down by a three-foot putt, which he missed on second play-off hole to give Woods his sixth win of the season and the USD 1.3 million cheque brought him close to the USD 10 million for the season.
After two solid rounds of matching 70s, Randhawa failed to sustain his push in the weekend rounds in the USD 7.5 million event.

On the second, he birdied the third and fourth to make up some ground, but a triple on sixth saw him go to five-over on a day when he required 31 putts.
Meanwhile, Simon Yates, another Asian Tour member also settled for a five-over-par 75 and tied 43rd place. He found the consolation in a cheque of USD 46,000.
Choi Kyung-ju of Korea, who won on the US PGA Tour in the previous week, was amongst those who shared 43rd place with Yates, a two-time winner in Asia. Choi carded rounds of 70, 71, 72 and 73.
Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee finished 60th on 292 while Hur Suk-ho of Korea and Ted Purdy of the United States were lower down the leaderboard on 295 and 297 respectively.
Woods came from behind to catch Daly with a 67 that was fired by three straight birdies from the 10th hole. Daly's closing 69 was respectable but fell short after a three-putt bogey at the 17th hole brought him to play-off.
Colin Montgomerie tied for third with Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson. His cheque of USD 353,666 helped him regain the lead on the European Tour Order of Merit for the first time since his seven-year reign there ended in 1999. He will play two of the next three weeks in hopes of being on top at the end of the season.
