World Cup Qualifiers
Trinidad & Tobago players jubilate after beating Bahrain in Manama to qualify for the 2006 World Cup.
Trinidad & Tobago qualified for the World Cup finals for the first time when they overcame a hostile home crowd and steamy hot conditions to beat Bahrain 1-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.
They became only the fourth Caribbean side to reach the finals following Cuba in 1938, Haiti in 1974 and Jamaica in 1998.
Trinidad, with a population of only 1.1 million, will be the smallest nation taking part in the 2006 finals in Germany.
