Australia clinched a spot in the World Cup finals for the first time in 32 years after beating Uruguay on penalties.
Australia, who had suffered a series of agonising losses in their previous World Cup playoffs, won the shootout 4-2 after they won the second leg tie 1-0 in extra time for an aggregate 1-1 draw.
